Why You Should Train With Free Weights
Today, I’d like to talk about the importance of training with free weights (as opposed to machines).
Training with free weights is crucial if you want to jump higher.
Why?
Because it builds your stabilizer muscles.
When you train with free weights, you body has to “support” and “balance” the weight, thus working your stabilizer muscles.
When you use machines, you don’t really build your stabilizer muscles, because the machine “supports” and “balances” the weight for you.
Stabilizer muscles facilitate the co-ordination of your body.
Having strong stabilizer muscles will therefore make you a much better coordinated athlete.
It will also help you maximize your vertical jump.
