Whats up beer pong?!
Who knew that beer pong would get so crazy popular? I mean it just began in Beruit during the 50’s and now it’s a giant phenomenon played by almost everyone who’s been to a party.
The original game resembled a real ping pong game with the cups of beer on the end of each players side of the table. Today beer pong is played without paddles. Glasses of beer are set up on each end of the table in a triangle formation and each side takes turns trying to throw or bounce a ping pong ball into one of the cups of beer on the opponents side of the table. Generally the number of cups of beer on each side of the table is 6, 10 or 12 depending on the length of time the parties want the game to last.
How do you win the game? Well, it’s pretty simple actually, all you have to do is get your ball in all of the cups. Sounds strange, but you just try to throw your ball into the other teams cups. Then whatever cup you hit, the other team has to drink the beer inside, and remove the cup. Once they’ve drank all their beer, and the cups are gone, you win.
Teams: Teams for this game generally consist of one or two players per side. However, if you are playing this game in your own home you can if you wish, divide up the entire group into two teams and take turns throwing the ping pong ball and drinking. This might work if your party consists of no more than a small handful of friends.
