Bike Lights - Multiple LED Offerings
There are several types of LED bike headlights offered out there and I want to go over one right here.
Multiple LED headlights are light which obviously contain more then one LED bulb. Of course the reason for this is that unlike the high power single LED offerings available, these bulbs are much weaker but compensate with numbers.
The light output between the multiple LED and single LED lights are vastly different. Think of it this way, the single LED is like focusing a stream of light on one place. Good for seeing directly ahead of you but it won’t light up the environment around you. The multiple LED lights will however light up the environment around you but not necessarily be as bright directly in front where you are going. Of course generally speaking the more LED’s the brighter but at the same time the lower battery life.
In choosing a bike light, decide your situation and environment. The multiple LED lights can offer several different blinking combination’s which would be good to alert cars of your presence. They also light up the environment around you better which is convenient if you are just like to cruse at slow speeds in the dark.
