How to create a crisper GIF with Adobe Image Ready?

Greetings- When I create a GIF animation using a series of photograps edited in photoshop 6.0 and combine the layers using Adobe Image Ready, the photo quality of the images in the end results display at a lower (spotty) and spotty resolution. What can I do to help retain the original photo quality in the GIF animation? Any tips or advice will be greatly appreciated.

GIF cannot render more than 256 colors. If you have very complex images with subtle shading, they’re going to look like crap in GIF, period.

If you need to put high-quality images into motion, you could do so most easily with Flash.
