I’m working on making one of those funny internet flash cartoons. I did the Flash MX Trial, but it ran out. Can somebody help me find something like it or maybe an older version of Flash MX that’s free now?

at adobe.com you can get a trial version of the official flash authoring tool, which is the best thing for making flash. to buy it, its several hundred dollars.
then there is swish 2 which is a 3rd party flash authoring tool. I have never used it, but it seems sufficient for making animations.

There is a site called Newgrounds (newgrounds.com) has a lot of flash games and cartoons for all ages. Some are explicit and are rated for higher aged audience, but it tells you.
