what is the cost of developing an animated film of duration 1 hour?

Of late there has been an outburst of animated films. I was wondering why would any body produce animated films?Apart from the obvious reason of a market for such type of films, are there cost advantages associated with it?Normally what would be the budget of developing an animated film of 1 hour?

at least you’ll need a team of about 15 people consisting the animators, story-boarding, director, editor, voice actors, computer hard and software.

a low budget might cost you at least about 1,5 million dollars. but if you want it to really good then think 5 million above.
