What is the best and easiest way to make animated GIFs?

I am interested in making some animated GIFs. Is there free software that I can do this with? Any tips or suggestions would be appreciated.

You can get a free 60 day trial of Animation Shop 3. It works fantastically and has special effects. If you want something that stays, try Coffeecup. It’s not the best however and you might have to be great at that program to make a fantastic Animation.

Adobe image ready
you get to make the pic u like, then into multiple frames, then save it as a anyname.gif

I don’t think there is a free program to do this, but Adobe Photoshop+Imageready is an easy one to use.. Just need to organize your images/work in layers and then animate them..
