How do you put animated objects onto a home video?

I want to make a video with animated objects such as spinning worlds and such. I want to make it look like I am interacting with them, eg, throwing them or holding them. Any ideas? What software might I need?

There are actually a lot of ways you could approach it, although what I think you’re aiming for would be a program called AfterEffects. It’s a compositing program from Adobe. You could also do stop motion, or just rig models have friends help out and film the actual interaction.
