How to: Animate faces in CrazyTalk

A tutorial on the use of CrazyTalk for facial animation.

Right from the moment I started posting animation videos people kept asking me what program I used.

I gave the answer in a recent video but I had always intended to reveal it in a “How to” tutorial, so here it is, somewhat belated but hopefully useful for those wanting to make similar videos to what I have done.

The original ended up being around 16 minutes so I’ve cut it down a bit to fit into the YouTube 10 minute limit.

How did you get …
How did you get idle animation for talking, when I import my own sound clip, when it talks for my sound, its head is rigid and only the mouth moves, when the sound clip is done, it then goes into idle animation and head movement.
