How do I animate the special effects found in Sony Vegas Pro 8?

I click on the effect, then I go preview it and the effect is frozen, not animated like it should be.

All three are helpful when dealing with Sony Vegas Pro. You have to animate them using key frames. The first two tutorials are really good at explaing it, even if it’s for lower thirds. Same concept though.
